I looked at one of these today. The seats really looked like they would be very comfortable. However, the shape of the car doesn't look very good to me. About the same price as the Prius V with Advanced Technology. What do you think about the Lexus HS250h?
I like it a lot but can't get past the very bland looks. If I were in the market for a hybrid sedan I'd buy the Fusion. A lot less money and most of the same bells and whistles.
Did you see one at a dealer? They have not reached the east coast yet. I drove a pre-production model at a Lexus event and am very serious about getting one when they show up in the next week or so. Thanks Steve
If I wanted a Lexus hybrid, there's no choice lol. The next one up is an RXh and I don't want an SUV.
Well the HS is the first Lexus tuned for efficiency and not power. The LS and GS are showcases of power and some efficiency. Hell the LS 600h L weighs 5000lbs and is AWD. The GS is 4100lbs. The RXh is amazing though, 30 MPG for the FWD and 29 MPG for the AWD. Pricing is very "strong" though, 35k to start, 46k loaded...
Exactly. It appeals to a whole different Lexus buyer - one that appreciates luxury and performance (fuel efficiency performance) above all else. Stealthing in an LSh must be quite a sight lol.
Um, according to our handbook (and Consumer Reports tests) our rx400h runs on regular OR premium ... only difference being, supposedly, is that premium yields better mpg's. We do see a small increase using premium. No deduction necessary. I believe they (as well as most new cars) have O2 and Knock sensors that make adjustments for you, when octane is way in the toilet. btw ... we finally got a hybrid lexus sub category ... and the thread gets stuck out here? sheesh.
