Just to clarify: iPhone Bluetooth streaming does NOT work with non-NAV-JBL. Someone had clear post in one of the other threads. I have a III so I will verify this claim.

The confusion came from some people with IIs with a different type of Bluetooth installed. These work for both phone and audio streaming.

Sorry if this has been posted already -- did you guys notice the rear windows slow down at the extreme limits of their movement? (Almost all the way up and down) The fronts do not do this.

I wish they did as I always felt the windows slamming into the weather stripping was hard on the components. Slowing down first would make it a bit smooth.

Maybe it would be better the other way around... how else will little kids learn to keep their fingers away from the windows? :D

The manufacturers used the same three windows for both sides of the car. IE: from the outside of the driver's side you can see the "Toyota" imprint on the windows. From the outside of the passenger side the "Toyota" is backwards.

Which also indicates that what ever they do to make the front windows "Rain-Repellent" is put on after the window is made and is not part of the window manufacturing process.

What window(s) are supposed to be "rain resistant"?
What can you use to wash the windows that does not take off the coating?
How long is the coating supposed to last?
    Thanks, Gary

The IVs and Vs are suppose to have water-repellent front side windows. They do seem to bead the water up and it rolls off a little better than the back ones. They didn't come with any special care instructions so I just wash them with car washing soap when I do the rest of the car, I've also use Windex on them. If the coating washes off it's no big loss.

Nope... there is a definite outward curve on the windows...

The number of leaf cars that can be displayed is a lot more than the Gen 2 Prius. (I wonder if that means the car can regenerate more because regenerative braking is more efficient)

    Obscures things ?

Well i read in owner manuel that there is, installed onbord 2010 Priuses, some kind of a black box, most like the ones installed on planes to analyse crashes.
In fact when you crash (i hope you're not) whith your Prius, some event recorder is capturing the last moments just before destruction of the car. Items like airbags inflation force, speed of the car, brake pedal depression force, anti-skid system parameters, seat-belts retension force and steering mouvements are recorded in some kind of a black box !!! Twilight zone ?

    Want another "obscure thing" ?

While waiting to have your green light (it's one place you don't know what else to do), completely depress de brake pedal way down to the floor and... And... You will ear a long biiiiip and the anti-skid yellow symbol will light on the left of the display unit. Owner manual say something about this but it is unclear what exacly... explanations are "fuggy".

Yes they have, I think most (maybe all) cars sold have them. It could actually save your neck in some instances. If, for example, a witness said you were going 100 MPH before the wreck and your black box proved you were only doing 55. On the other hand it you really were doing a 100 . . . . . . .

That's the hill start assist. If you are stopped on an incline, pressing the brake pedal down will engage the HSA. When you are ready to go and release the brake pedal, it holds it for a couple of seconds to prevent it from rolling back. That way you don't have to hold the brake pedal while pressing the accelerator.

(this is on Auto) The digital thermostat only goes down to 65F, lower than that it only says "LO" and the fan cranks all the way to high. The other morning it was 51F outside, but the car had been in the warm garage and I had just finished exercising so I turned the temp mindlessly down from 75. Image my surprise (and my puppy's) when the fan suddenly cranked to high and started blowing outside cold air into our faces!

How many know what the Toyota Logo actually represents?

I'll post the answer tomorrow (9/5/2009), unless it's answered correctly before then!

    brief search found this,

Toyota = it's all about the three rings. each ring has a meaning.

1.) The heart of the customer.
2.) The heart of the product.
3.) The ever-expanding technological advancements and boundless opportunities that lie ahead.

    "Toyo" means an abundance of.
    "ta" means Rice.

When the company was founded in 1937, the name 'Toyota' was used rather than the family name, 'Toyoda'. There were three reasons for this:

Signify the separation of the founders' work life from home life
    Simplify the pronunciation
Give the company an auspicious beginning; eight is a lucky number and it takes eight strokes to write Toyota in Katakana, whereas it takes ten to write Toyoda
