I am looking to upgrade my 2010 15"s to something a little bigger and was wondering how much to charge for the oem 15"s. I am including the rims, tires, tpms, center caps, covers, and even the 5 dollar valve stem covers from autozone:rockon: They are all in perfect like new condition, and I have 1,500 miles on my Blizzard Pearl II. I put a post in the private sales forum but have not recieved any response. Thanks for your help I really have no idea how much to ask for!
Well perhaps look around craigslist and ebay to get a general idea of what other 15" alloy rims are going for (esp. aftermarket ones). The final ad should be in the private sales forum. Another alternative I can suggest is if you want to upgrade to the stock 17" alloys, perhaps find a member that's willing to swap.
Thanks for the response! I would consider a swap so if anyone out there is reading this thinking the same thing. . . send me a personal message! : )
You may want to consider removing the TPMS before selling your rims/tires. Not sure if you are aware of the costs for new TPMS but they are pricey.
Yes they are! I think Orange Electronics makes OEM compatible sensors for much cheaper though. I just ordered new wheels/tires from Tirerack and I went with no sensors. I will keep my old wheels for now so parking next to them in the garage at night should keep the warning light from turning on, or if it does come on, it's electrical tape time. It's just not worth the costs to swap them to me.
Cost to swap them from OEM wheels to new wheels was around $35.00 bucks for me at the time of installing newtires/rims. They provide new gaskets when doing so.
Thanks for the responses! I was thinking of including the tpms with my 15"s to get some more money for the upgraded wheels. Will the Prius function fine with tires without tpms? I think I could live without the tpms and I'm on a limited budget so the more money I can get for the wheels the better. Thanks again
Be sure on the TPMS before you ditch them. My wife's other cars stability system is affected by a bad or missing TPMS, not sure what else.
