My wife and I love movies, especially old movies. One year, for a week-long family vacation, we created a movie quotes quiz. It was fun. So here's what I'm thinking: - In order to reply, you must know the answer to the current clue. - You can provide a quote, plot, character, anything that is specific enough that there is only one answer but clever enough to make it challenging. - It's impossible to know whether people are Googling the answers but try to resist. Here's the first one: QUOTE "You know, like nunchuku skills, bow hunting skills, computer hacking skills... Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills."
Hmm, I like this one Tony, great game. Ok here goes. First off, funny a** movie! Answer is Napoleon Dynamite! Here's my QUOTE: "What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire life, that there's something wrong with the world. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad."
Resisting the temptation to google and check my answer but is it from The Matrix? Quote: "Assssss Yooooooou Wiiiiiiiiiiish"
The Princess Bride (get used to disappointment!) Quote: What we've got here is a failure to communicate.
QUOTE: I became operational at the plant in Urbana, Illinois on the 12th of January 1992. My instructor was Mr. Langley, and he taught me to sing a song. If you'd like to hear it I can sing it for you.
Hey, tsk tsk Tony nono, according to your rules you have to answer Vincent's before you can post another one.
Said Gene Wilder to Teri Garr...Young Frankenstein. "Yes, HAL, I'd like to hear it." "Daisy, Daisy...."...As Dave Bowman is pulling the chips from HAL's mind...2001, A Space Odyssey
Oh, my bad. I thought the "what knockers" comment was a reference to the scene in Cool Hand Luke where then woman is washing her car in front of the Chain Gang. I didn't realize it was a quote from another movie.
Do I get to go twice now? Hmm...let me think for a minute. OK, here you go: "Vice, virtue. It's best not to be too moral. You cheat yourself out of too much life."
Harold and Maude. -This landing is gonna get pretty interesting. -Define "interesting". -Oh God, oh God, we're all going to die?
I like this game.. Serenity "The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist" And go...
One of my all-time favorite movies starting one of my all-time favorite character actors. The Usual Suspects Alright, let's mix it up a bit. . . Main Character :: Stanley Kowalski
Isn't that a bit too easy? A Streetcar Named Desire. another easy quote: "Sometimes the magic works, and sometimes it doesn't."
Spoken by Chief Dan George in Little Big Man He laid down to die, but was awoken by the rain. "So many moods...so little time." (I think this was in the movie - could have been the series.)
No, not Sybill. KK, that's from Blade Runner (AKA Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, before the rich themes were replaced by special effects.) Need a hint for "So many moods..."?
