GOT MY CAR! Who is next?

WOW! I hope my car is not that far behind now!

 

I got my car last night! a V with ATP. I love it. Barcelona Red.

 

I ordered a IV with the Solar Roof 3 weeks ago in Upstate NY. The dealer had no idea when one would be coming in. Yesterday, I searched the internet and found 3 dealers with the IV solar, but all spoken for. I put down another $500 at one of the dealers and left my phone number with the others. I got a call today from a dealer in Maryland that has a car IN STOCK for me!!! I'm flying down there tomorrow to pick up my new IV Solar, black. Needless to say, I'm very excited! Thanks to Dennis at R & H Toyota in Owings Mills, MD.

Picked up my car and drove it 400 miles home. LOVE IT!!!!!! There was a terrible rainstorm on the way home and the next morning I discovered that my temporary license plate fell off somewhere along the road home!

 

Got Barcelone Red/Bisque model IV with Solar/Nav last night BE-U-tiful. Had ordered since 6-2-09 from dealer A after talking to 3 other dealers. On 7-09-09 one of those dealers said he had one allocated and remembered me and since dealer A still has told me nothing, I said go for it. Toyota of Plano did me good.

 

Just picked up my Blue Ribbon IV w/SR at 11:00 a.m. today!! Beautiful car and fun to drive.

 

My car had been sitting in the lot for 2.5 weeks, waiting for the clunker money to come through so I can drive it home!

 

Got word yesterday that car I queued up for on 6/30 (red IV w/SR) would arrive by ship in 3 weeks; getting closer!!!

Just picked up my Silver IV with Nav on Friday (8/21/09). Just got under the wire on C4C. I love this car.

 

Love the idea of your custom plate.

Just be glad your not in England or Austraila - "K Shiraz" just doesnt have the same ring to it!

 

Went to the dealer today to check to make sure they had submitted the C4C paperwork last week, and as we rolled up, we saw a truck full of cars backing into the lot. Brand new red Prius III sitting on the back. As we approached the truck, my cell phone rang. It was the dealer calling us to tell us the car had been delivered early (wasn't supposed to be here until Friday).

Being prepped right now, we pick it up tomorrow morning.

 

Ordered Package V 5 months ago and the dealer has no idea if or when they will make the car. Has anyone else run into this?

Joe - Yikes!! The car has been produced from the get-go -plenty of folks on this forum have a V. Please call around to other dealers - let them know what you're looking for - Vs are popular - it may take a lot of calling, but no way should you be sitting there waiting on that dealer!!!

Actually I don't know why your waiting 5 months? I put a deposit down on a V in June and my car was delivered on August 21, 2009. I have a feeling it's got to do with Provisioning or preferencing at the dealership level. I would just keep on them and see if there is your type of vehicle (color, options) allocated to another nearby dealership that they could do a dealer trade for. It has to do with allocations and based on previous Prius Sales etc...

Just keep diligent and you will get it. Once you do I am sure the wait is worth it. I just love mine and can't speak high enough about the car. I have not run into any issues with the car at all.

Keep on top of them at the dealer and speak to the General Manager as well. It will come. But ask them about a dealer swap if you have another Toyota Dealer that could do that.
