    I miss Pinto Girl, too.
Hey, PG, come back... I wanna hear how the new exhaust is working out
(and, after reading this whole thread, I'm thinking "wow, what a lot of rocks thrown! There are people on here that swap out the ENTIRE SUSPENSION SYSTEM, and no one squawks at them. What a bunch of [deleted])

A lower "hummmmm" sounds like it would be nice. Instead of (from Jeff Dunham) "I'mmmmmmmmmmgaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyy" it will say, "I'mmmmmmmmmmsexyyyyyyyyyyyyyy"

The exhaust is a cat-back system. Anything after the catalytic converter is not subject to CARB requirements.

Pinto Girl, I think the idea of purchasing and installing a TOM's exhaust on your Prius is a great one, and deserves merit points. It also is really not that much different in intention from adding a BT product, or anything else to mod the cars performance.

Personally, I am not going mod my Prius, because the car performs well for me just the way it is (exception snow and ice in winter). However, I understand "the bug" shall we say.

I used to own a Subaru WRX, and spent thousands on performance modifications. I reprogrammed the ECU, replaced the entire exhaust system, changed the wheels and tires, replaced the sway bars in the front and back, modded the air intake...

...and I did it all in the name of FUN. That's it...FUN. Waste of money, of course it was...but it was FUN, and I've only this life to live.

So good for you Pinto Girl, and **** em' if they can't take a joke.

    Dave

I wouldn't expect a response. She hasn't been on PC in almost a year.

so any other suggestions? custom exhaust modifications? get pipes a little larger than 1" and swap with the "skinny" stocks....?!!! this could be easy first steps to clearing the choked-up flow of the NHW20 Prius?

And who can blame her. There are some people on this forum that get down right nasty. So what she wants to plop money down on an exhaust "just because". It's her money, more power to her.

But noooooo. There are people out here that come out here for no other reason than to flame others. If you don't have something constructive to add to the post, then don't bother.

Or, she sold the Pri? One or the other or both.

I stay out of the way of how people decide to spend their money, except when it harms others. Hopefully this 'fart can' will not add to our noise pollution, but other than that -- whatever floats Pinto's boat.
