My Prius is a package II so it comes with cloth seats. As I touch the passenger seat, I just noticed there is a dent about 1 inch in size in the cushion near the center toward the back. You can't see it since the cloth covers it up. You won't be able to feel it when sitting on it since it's small in size. But you can definately feel it as you touch it by hand. It's like there is a piece of cushion material is missing. I am wondering if that's the seat sensor location. Would like to know if yours has the same 'feature' or mine is defective and I need to get it replaced. Thanks.
I highly suspect it is the sensor that detects a passenger and their weight class, but am interested to hear what your dealer says.
Good, thanks. With few of us having the same 'feature', at least one thing is for sure, it most likely is not a defect in the seat cushion. But what it is remains a mystery. Someone knows the answer?
