I know this question has been posted for earlier generation Prius' but I've had no luck finding a miniature rendition of the 2010 Prius. I've heard that Toyota passed out a few when the generation 3 first came out but wondered if Toyota would be willing to sell some of these or if anyone else has found a 2010 miniature out there somewhere... Also, has anyone found a bra or nose mask for the 2010? Thanks in advance.
Would it be possible to post an email address or website for one of the dealerships so I could ask them?
Do you write in Japanese? Otherwise, I am sure that you could google 'Tokyo Toyota Dealer" and get tons of hits.
toyota.jp > ‚²Âw“üƒTÆ’|Â[Æ’g all in Japanese though. I don't see any email addresses, just phone numbers. Kintoy makes a Prius die-cast model but I'm not sure if it's the 2010. This link looks suspiciously like the US 2010 model colors. 1/34??? ???????????? - TOREDA - livedoor ???? But the ones I saw in the dealership were the EXACT paint colors and looked perfectly to scale. They were using them as models because they don't have floor-space in Tokyo to have more than one or two on the lot.
The second link above appears to show the earlier generation, not the 2010. Some of the colours were close, but not exact. I'm looking forward to adding some 2010 models to my collection.
The Kintoy ones are the Gen II models that they've had for years in those colors. They go under the name of Kinsmart. If you can find them, Rite Aid and other places sell them for fairly cheap at $4 to $6 each. Odd that the official Toyota promotional toy Gen III Prius that htmlspinnr posted is not scale, but instead is a squished, cartoon version.
Toyota official mini model is available very limited give-a way item from Japanese Toyota dealers. Ken@Japan
No. My dealer have not given me yet. There are some on the Yahoo Japan auction site. Yahoo! auction - Prius mini model Ken@Japan
That price sounds about right. I think I paid $50 for the earlier model. Would anyone in Japan who can read that site like to purchase one on someone else's behalf? I'd like a silver one, please.
Looks like the diecast model available at Japanese Toyota dealers is the (of course) Japanese version, i.e., it has right-hand drive.
Oh my goodness; that blue one is an exact copy of my prius! I wish I read/wrote japanese! You should bid on one for yourself.
