If you plan on buying a new 2009 off a lot, better act quick if you found one and the price is right. http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-ii-prius-main-forum/67456-going-going-almost-gone.html
I bought a 2009 Base model with two sorta dumb packages...the problem of dealing with GULF STATES TOYOTA here in TX. One is sound shield, and luster shield...the other is mud flaps, homelink/dimming mirror, carpets, cargo net, blah-blah-blah!!! I paid $23,473 or $700 off the MSRP on the window...and they tinted the windows for free! Hope this helps!!! But paradox is right, better act quick!!!
Package 2 with wheel locks for $22,000 out the door including doc fees, before taxes and registration. This was back in Jan when they had the $500 MFR rebate. I thought it was a good deal until a month later, they announced excise tax exemption (~$500) for new cars bought in Feb...
Or until now. If you can find a 2009, TOYOTA is offering a $1500 incentive to get them sold. Sure helped me
I bought a 2009 touring, package 6, on 5/31 for $25,964. That was the sticker price after manufacturer discounts totaling $4,950. The only dealer-installed "option" was carpet floor mats at a cost of about $195. I tried to get the dealer to trade the carpet mats for all-weather mats but this was their last 2009 and they didn't have all-weather mats in stock.
I bought my '09 Touring package 5 on May 20 for $22,600 plus sales tax. It listed for a couple of dollars over $28,000, but that included the dealer add on sticker for paint sealant. I was pleased with the deal.
Me too! That is about what I paid for my 2009 Touring with package #6. Mine came with all the carpet mats, but I bought the all weather mats on ebay.
We must be related! I got all weather mats on eBay from Clearwater Toyopta. Good deal and great guys to work with.
I also bought a 2009 touring, pkg # 5 in May. Paid $22,500 including taxes and all fees, and the dealer contributed floor mats. Dan
I bought mine in early April, the base model for I believe $20,500. It was stickered at almost $23K, it had all weather mats and tonneau cover. I had them put the iPod interface kit as well. Initially, I was looking at the Corolla, Fusion (they had a nice rebate at the time), and Sentra. Kind of jumped a big ship, with this a little over my budget. But in the long run, it's worth it and will probably last a long time. Toyota makes great vehicles.
I got my 2009 Prius Package 3 on April 17 2009 for 23K before taxes, registration, dmv fees, etc. Have put on about 6K miles already at 52MPG and loving it.
