I just had leather installed and noticed that my back seats although secure, seem to be move a little when i lift up the bottom edge of the seat. Anyone else notice this?
The rear seat bottom has protrusions that "snap" into holes in the floor. There are no fasteners. If you pull up on the front of the seat bottom it will come loose and you can remove it. Be aware, if you do this you will have to position the seat belts correctly before re-installing the seat bottom. It's possible they got some leather in the way of the posts. Pull the seat bottom out to have a look or have the installers check it.
bumping an old thread -- my left rear seat bottom is loose for some unknown reason -- I was removing my backpack from behind the drivers seat and I noticed the seat bottom came up very easy -- I see where its attaches to the floor but it doesn't seem to want to latch back in securely and still seems loose. anyone with a clue??????
There is a plastic female 'clip' that the seat snaps into. This has a lip that snaps the seat in, and holds it. This is broken. You may be able to pull out the seat, take that part, and bend the latch back. Dealers don't stock these (takes a day or two). Cost is like $3.
you are correct sir! I removed the female part - which is actually 2 parts - the inner piece was broken and I superglued it. We'll see how long that fix lasts. thanks.
