Hi folks, Here in West Oz tonight I just saw what has become a rarity - a Prius TV commercial! It's the first one I've seen this year - it was a re-run of one of the originals. I don't know whether you use this one in US - it shows a Prius pulling in for a refuel and the young girl asks her mother " Mum, what's a service station?".(You call them Gas stations) It emphasises "up to 1000km range" - a bit optimistic in practice! I don't know if this is a sign of improved supplies of the car. Anyway, I hope this is the beginning of Toyota further informing the general public - it's about time! kenmac
620 miles? I can do that fairly easily, and we have the dumb bladder. Without the bladder, that should be a piece of cake for you.
Well, I'm currently getting an average of 4.6L/100km, which is my best ever (city driving) . This would calculate out to a range of approx. 980kms for the 45 litre tank. At highway speeds (110kph) there is no way it would achieve 1000km range! For 1000km you need to average 4.5L/100km, or in US terms 52.3mpg. It may be possible in controlled conditions and very careful driving, but not in normal "just driving"! kenmac
my last tank was 602.4 miles. last bar started blinking at about 585 miles. i believe if i were so inclined, that i could have done 620 miles
