In light of the variation in dealer willingness to do customization of settings after the fact, I figure it's a good idea to just go in with that expectation up front as I order the car. Can anyone point me to a thread ( I have looked for one) or list what features on the 2010 package IV are customizable? I know for instance that the back up beep can be turned off. Thanks! ~Oct
The list is in section 6-2 of the Owner's Manual, starting on page 587. Attached is a pdf of that section.
Sorry, as I was first posting I realized from your profile and post that you didn't have the car or manual yet. See my edited post above.
I took those pages and did a little cut and paste so all the tables will fit on one page nicely if you print this .jpg to fit a page.
I plan to move that heated seat switch to a reasonable location on the upper dash. It's current location looks as if that feature was just thrown onto an empty spot on the lower console, with little to no thought put into it. It makes sense to put a power outlet down there, but the switch that controls a premium feature like the seat heater??? Also, the 15" cheap-looking wheels WILL go away and be replaced by 16" alloys in a Plus Zero configuration/size so as to not cause problems with the computer's speed sensors. And, I am seriously thinking of two-toning the bottom of the car with a well-thought-out color, like many premium cars have done for years. The all-monotone paint scheme is boring looking on such a premium car. Also, I'm glad to learn that annoying reverse beep can be turned off! Joe
I'm supposed to be taking delivery either this week or next, and have been wanting to pre-plan and have my customization requests ready to go for the dealer. Awesome posting and thread (especially the pdf of the manual from jay_man2 and the consolidated thumbnail from SCJoe. Thanks so much!
