I know many people have written about bad front headlight problems, but I'm beginning to see a troubling pattern here. I bought my 2006 Prius used about 8 months ago; the prior owner had to replace the left front headlight at around 43,000 miles because the controller went out. Now, it's happened again with me, at 82,000 miles. (I have a private extended warranty, so let's hope they don't give me grief about replacing the same part.) Maybe I'm hallucinating, but OFTEN I see Prius vehicles with the same problem. This seems to be a manufacturer's issue from the get-go. It's really a safety concern. I'll be writing to Toyota to register my complaint -- mainly to establish a service record in case it happens a third time. Otherwise, I love the car.
