I pt down a $500 deposit on a 2010 Prius IV (white, Nav, dark leather, solar roof, etc.) on July 18th at the Preston Toyota in Boardman, OH, and as of today the dealer has no idea of when one might appear. Any suggestions? This is the first time I have ever signed for a vehicle at full sticker. Thanks. MDG153
I placed my order a week ago in Wausau, WI and the dealer "guesses" my wait will be two to three months. I'll be much more happy when they can provide a VIN for me.
I placed my order for pack V bliz no ATP on 7/17 I have a date to the port of NYC on 8/28 no VIN yet. Its gona take a month and a half!
Hi MDG153, Just curious, does this mean that a Prius will be built for you from the factory? Does this seem to be the case elsewhere?
I would go into the dealership one day and when they ask if they can help you just explain how you put in the order but that you are out shopping around. Let them assume that perhaps you are growing impatient and/or considering other models. You don't have to lie at all, just mention the words Fusion hybrid or Insight and it's almost certain that they'll look into your car and try to expedite the delivery if it's at all possible.
