I bought my 2010 Prius in August in northern New Jersey and was told there are no longer ANY free oil changes. What are others finding in terms of oil changes? If you have a dealer who provides oil changes, where is it?? I was told some people are still getting the first year free. Thank you.
I received my 2010 Prius in July (SF Bay Area) and my dealer is giving me the "first one free" just to get me back into the dealership. A year's worth of oil changes? If one drives 15,000 in a year that would be two oil changes or a savings of about 140 dollars.
Free oil changes for the life of the car and its transferable. I bought my Prius from 355 Toyota in Rockville MD. It's a dealership that is part of a chain in the area though (Darcars). I'd imagine that any other dealership in the chain would offer the same deal. It was a part of a broader maintenance package.
Free oil changes if you negotiated it at the time of purchase. Valued at "$750", and each oil change is $40. Me? I only get the free one for completing the satisfaction survey.
Hmm, not for me. Just bought a Prius from Darcars in Frederick MD, and there was no such deal. My last Prius that I bought at Koons Toyota in Tysons Corner came with 1 yr free oil changes, but that was on a Gen2 Prius back in 2006.
-- I was offered the 'first oil change at no cost' as well on both our 2010 Prius and 2009 RAV4. Has anyone managed to negotiate ‘free oil changes for life’ on the GEN 3's in California? If so, what city? Thanks. Ed
Free oil changes? But, what oil are they using? Are they using the proper Toyo 0W-20 synthetic? Or, something cheaper?
