I love my solar roof package, and while I usually leave it on, I did find it a bit of a pain to be sure which position the switch was in. So I did this quick modification that I find helpful. Using a thin strip of a red peel-off label, I stuck it in the opening below the push-button. Now it's easy to tell at a glance if it's off or on.
What I used was an old peel and stick diskette label. I cut a thin strip to the right size, placed it using a pair of tweezers, and pressed it in place using the tip of a small knife.
Or sell kits with the strip, a cheap exacto, and a flat-edge screwdriver for 3 monthly payments of $9.95, plus shipping and handling. First 100 callers get a second set free, just pay shipping and handling.

The thought of marketing it crossed my mind. But with Billy Mays gone, who would I get to pitch it for me? That Shamwow guy? Puhleeezz :tsk:
Yes, I did say it was an old diskette label, though that's probably a redundant statement. Maybe a photo would help...
I'm thinking green or blue for mine, but that's a fantastic idea. Then again, I never turn mine off ;-)
I would turn mine off if I ever parked in a dusty area, or some such place where I wouldn't want the outside air being drawn in.
