When I bought my 2006, the dealer gave me a coupon for an oil change and check up at 1,000K. I didn't get anything from the dealer when I bought my 2010. Did anybody?
Yes, we received a letter from the general manager good for one free oil change. Then everyone who attended the new owners (for all Toyota vehicles) clinic received a coupon for a free oil change. i received a third free oil change coupon when I had flat tire and had to purchase a new tire on my 3-day old 2010 Prius. Really nice, but they all have a one year expiration date, so I'm doubtful that I can use three oil changes done in a year. We also got a Toyota baseball style cap and a coffee mug at the new owner clinic. Our dealer nearly always has a table with snacks and free drinks out on Saturdays for anyone coming in and that seems to be a big hit here.
Local issue. Everybody who buys a new or used car from our store gets oil and filters + VA state inspections Free for Life. The only 'catch' is that for the new 2010 Prius and Camry which require 0W-20 oil there is an upcharge for the difference in the cost of the oils..~$18 per oil change.
Yes, at a thousand miles or 30 days. It is already scheduled for next week. The language on the card sounds like it is free but it doesn't come right out and say it. Also scheduled for the new car owners worksop. Maybe I will get some freebies at that. LUV our new red Prius IV/Nav.
I got my first year's oil changes free. After the sale, I was sent "coupons" (linked to my VIN) for 3 free oil changes (every 5,000 miles) within the first year. they can be used at any dealer.
I will be getting my first oil change for free. Have an appointment already for December. They are really pushing you to use their service department, and for me that will be a hard sell b/c I rarely use dealerships for service.
Yes one "free" oil change. When I inquired about the type of oil, the service manager didn't know the 2010 took 0W-20. He said they would have by the time mine needed the change. Peter
Free oil changes for life from my dealer* *I only have 300 miles on mine so I'm far from learning how free "free" really is Michael
Man, that is a really cool perk!! I got an "inspection" at 1K miles but the 5K service (oil change and rotate tires) will be $95. Better stick with your dealer, you're getting a great deal!
I got a coupon book with various parts and service discounts, and a $25 coupon toward and part or accessory at the parts counter of my dealer.
Same here! Oh well. Now, free oil change for life -- that's amazing! Of course, the dealer has to last for the life of your vehicle....
1st free oil change and lifetime inspections for every car in the household, even if they weren't purchased at the dealer. 3 of 4 were purchased there.
I got the first 2 oil change + Filters for free straight from Toyota, it was included in the car options, it's called Toyota Easy Care. The car had a small card hanging from the glovebox with big letters saying TOYOTA EASY CARE with the information and benefits.
Also, a free replacement for the remotekey and transponder with free roadside the key delivery for the first year but that was a dealer promotion.
Hmmm, I don't see anything on the web about "TOYOTA EASY CARE". It must be a dealer specific kind of promotion.
I didn't pay nothing more, I didn't even buy extended warranty or any kind of maintenance contract, I just paid the MSRP price which is first time to pay MSRP for a new car, I always got discount and sometimes it was more than $2000 but in the Prius case, I consider myself lucky to pay the MSRP cause I've been to dealers that asked more than $300 above the MSRP and they didn't even have the car I want, first thing the sales man said was " Just not waste your time, we charge $340 above MSRP for the Prius " and my reply was " I appreciate you telling me " and left.
Dang it, I had a piece of paper hanging from my glovebox too but I figure it wasn't important and promptly through it away... doh. Peter
