I am debating on trading this thing in to re-gain my sales tax or selling it. Looking for offers for private sale. Do any dealers have an idea on trade value, I would love to know what I can expect. I live in the Philadelphia, PA area. 09 Package 6 and ( OEM Xm Tuner ) Dark Grey / Dark Grey Inside / Pro. Tint Job / Teflon Coated protection for inside and outside ( 400.00 ) Dealer Option TOTALLY FLAWLESS, NOT ONE SINGLE BLEMISH / GARAGE KEPT / NON SMOKER / NO FLOOD OR ACCIDENT 6500 MILES WHY? I WANT A 2010 PRIUS
Let me know ur price if ur interested in selling it...I have a party interested in a 09 Touring. Tx- RG
Spoke to a few dealers. They say I should have no issue getting 25000 for it. So I am looking for somewhere in that range. Please PM me for my info if you would like further info or to get my phone number. Thanks!
Does it really have six and a half million miles like the title of the post says (6500K miles). Sorry, just had to be a pain. Good luck with your sale or trade!
I doubt you'll get that kind of money for the car. Not with the 2010 model out. Who in their right mind would spend that type of money when for a few bucks more they get the newer model?
I dont set the prices, this is what the market price is for this model. Furthermore, a 2010 with the same features is way more than the price of this car, for the record.
I guess it depends where you are. In Northern Virginia, one can find a used 2009 and 7700 miles with Smart Keys and a standard GPS ect but not the leather or the undercoating. The cost, the last time I checked was 21999. In any case, good luck and I hope you can fine someone up in PA that wants your Prius. Steve
You are speaking of two total different packages then, which vary several thousand dollars, so your price arguement is pointless.
My official asking price is $24500 ( KELLY BLUEBOOK PRIVATE SALE EXCELLENT CONDITION ) If anyone needs or wants more info please let me know.
Some word of advice and I am sure you have heard it all by now...LOL Here is the Kelly B/B Private Party Prices.. Condition Value Excellent $23,880 Good $22,630 Fair $20,980 Hope it helps you a little....Neutral here...
I forgot to even consult KBB. Thanks for that, appears there is a price difference in your area. So my asking price is 24500.00 using a 19131 ( Philadelphia Area Market ) Excellent $24,515 Looks new, is in excellent mechanical condition and needs no reconditioning. Never had any paint or body work and is free of rust. Clean title history and will pass a smog and safety inspection. Engine compartment is clean, with no fluid leaks and is free of any wear or visible defects. Complete and verifiable service records.
Not to be a jerk, but good luck getting asking price or KBB or Edmonds Value with the new model out, and how the used car market is. It's a buyer's market and you will be lucky if you get $20k. For people to take you seriously, post pics color, options, etc., list it on CL,, Autotrader, Cars.com, and everywhere else you can. Also, do your HW. Find out what the dealer would give you on trade. If there is a Carmax in your area, get them to appraise the vehicle for you. That will give you a better idea, and they may even be able to come up with a favorable number and buy it from you. Wishing you luck!
Couple of things.... Good luck with the sale of your Prius and not having even driven a Gen 2, I don't have much of an idea how much better the Gen 3 is. Second thought. This is not the first sale thread I have browsed where someone, without any thought of buying the sale item, decides they want to Police the thread. On other sites that I frequent (mostly golf equipmentit where equipment is claimed to be off the PGA tour van) it is distinctly frowned on unless its very apparent some kind of fraudulent activity is going on and usually it's not said right out, it is implied. It's obviously not a help to the seller because if that was the idea, a PM would be the way to go.
