Some dealers might hold back on ordering the higher cost packages unless specifically asked for by customers. The level II seems to be incredibly popular especially with the Clunker program.... Hit the internet and you should be able to search for dealers with particular cars in stock if you want to get the "hands on" experiance.
I made friends with a manager at a dealership in my old hometown while on a search for my IV Solar. I worked the phones for a week, and this guy was able to track down the specific model i wanted. He told me 3 different dealerships who had the color and specs i wanted, all of those cars were marked as sold. While i would assume most of the solar models are spoken for, from what i understand dealerships will mark a hot commodity as sold so they are not bothered with other dealerships seeking a trade. So get out there and make a buddy. Internet managers are easy to work with and love to correspond through email. My 2 cents. Question : Where will i drive next? Answer : Where ever the hell i want.
