    You want a Lexus.
The majority of these are absolutely more appropriate upgrade items for a Lexus over a Toyota product.

Many of these things are in our $73,000 Landcruiser. A few are in the $45,000-50,000 Highlander hybrid too. :)

I would of liked a lighter blue color on the new 2010 Prius.

Sounds like an HS250h to me. Everything you listed sans Li-Ion and solar panel are on the HS250h so I assume you don't mind paying for a $40k Prius?

    Revised and increased storage.

    1. Doors should have map slots in addition to cup holders to hold umbrellas, etc.
    2. Additional storage could be built into the arm rests with the addition of hinged
    lids.
    3. Eliminate console and move shift lever back to dashboard. With this change,
console storage could be increased and dashboard storage for cd's, etc.
    could be provided.

I would buy one if it got 50+MPG.

I think many of these features are in the new Lexus HS250 but that car has a gas thirsty engine compared to the Prius.

For not much more than the Prius, you can buy the Camry Hybrid and get more options than the Prius, even a few on your list. The downside is the mileage difference, but for me, I have one of each and am completely happy with both. Otherwise you can wait for the Lexus IS version and pay 40K plus for what looks like a Corolla and only gets the same mileage as the Camry.....

Not sure if this has been listed - for my 2009 - a rear window wiper that can be lifted completely up for cleaning.

Had the car for about a month, here are my complaints (hope Toyota's listening). Overall, the car is amazing so far. But these things get in the way of the amazingness :(

Center console "buttress". Like other users complained, I would prefer the "open" design from the gen II. A good compromise would be to have a "duck bill" that sticks a bit out of the dash containing the shifter and the driving mode buttons.

One cup holder that requires the console to be slid back to be usable. If there is a passenger in the rear centre seat, that would be uncomfortable.

Lack of map pockets on the doors. Now I have to wedge the maps between the seat and the centre console.

The small storage box under the steering wheel near the hood release is missing.

Navigation is not available as a separate option in Canada (have to spring for the tech package to get it, and all I wanted was NAV).

Handbrake is a foot pedal. My parents have trouble getting used to it when they drive my car.

When listening to satellite radio, the text is cut off for song/artist names (in the non-NAV headunit).

Nasty looking 15" wheels. They've gotten a bit better than gen II. I wanted these wheels because they save gas, but if Toyota can make them look better it would be nice.

It seems that the hard plastic surfaces inside most of the storage locations don't do much to prevent the rattles. I get quite irked by any rattle so this is quite annoying to me. Some better type of insulation on the backside of these compartments could go a long way towards removing these rattles.

I lined everthing with felt. It fixes the problem.

The felt is black, the flash on the camera turned it gray.

    What a beautiful job!!!

I bought some felt and adhesive spray to cover mine (in a buff color as it's bisque interior). Been sitting on my workbench for 3 weeks - your picture will now motivate me. You must have cut patterns from paper and transferred them to the felt.

One thing that's been bugging me since I got my car, but didn't want to open a post for it.... What is the notch into the middle left side of the upper glovebox for? Seems to serve no purpose (as the notch in the lower cargo hold does - for the tonneau cover...). I seem to recall a pic that the Gen II had the same type of notch.... Someone must know....

I did cut patterns from paper and used felt with adhesive on the back.

I have no clue what the notch is for. I bet there is some reason it's there.

I lined the floor of the bottom glovebox with felt (I only use the top one for papers so didn't bother):

And bought a set of these pads, which work great:

Auto on/off LED on the Prius V, it's actually MANUAL ON and auto off! Auto means go on by itself! This is surely a manufacturing defect!
