Plastic part on Steering Wheel squeaks

    ..anyone come across this? the left, silver plastic support pillar on my steering wheel makes a squeaking sound when i press down on it.

    Hadn't noticed the squeek, but if you let the steering wheel freely turn back after a sharp turn, the edge of the plastic can catch on your hand. Does not feel good and now that I've noticed it, it annoys me.

    Yes, we've been affectionately calling it the Tupperware sound.

    I've noticed the same thing. Very annoying. It seems to be only the left one, too.

    I'm having the same problem, and it drives me NUTS! It seems like the plastic is too loose. It really smacks of poor fit and finish. If I brought it up to the service guys they'd probably look at me like I was nuts.
