I've owned this Blizzard White Prius since Monday at noon and I have never had so many young women come up to me and comment and complement me on a car in my life. Everyday this week at least one women has started a conversation with me about the car. Now if I was 20 to 25 years younger it might be a real benefit.
Yeah, tough thing. Sometimes I have 2 or 3 beautiful women in my Prius at a time. Of course, they're my wife and kids.
No looks here either. The GEN III isn't that different from the GEN II to the non-discerning eye, and we're covered up in IIs here.
I don't even have my Prius yet so I made a sign that says "I have ordered a new Prius" and the babes won't leave me alone. Of course at my age they probably feel safe around me. Tom
I hope not...I'm female...lol. I have had some older men ask me about my 3 Prii...but, no one beefcake worthy ......yet
I am planning to buy the Prius because wifey wants it. Now after reading this thread, I am having second thoughts.
I am getting tired of pulling 'em out of the wheel wells!!! Thank god the Bonnet is locked shut!!! I am going to have to switch to the BMPG system of monitoing fuel consumption. Babe Miles Per Gallon If you drive with their legs sticking out of the windows because you packed so many into the car the extra wind drag will ding the ole milage!
Had this happen to me once. The woman wanted to buy one. It seems women like the Prius more than men. I wouldn't call the Prius a girly car like the Miata or Mini but it is not very manly either. Electric cars have always appealed to women, the wife of Henry Ford drove a Detroit Electric car because she didn't like the noise, smell and to crank Ford cars.
My wife is the only babe in my life. Unfortunately my Prius is such a babe magnet my wife always takes it and I'm stuck with my bicycle or her Volvo.
LOL Was thinking it's more like a 'geek magnet' [and honestly, I use that term with great endearment] I was stopped by a guy yesterday who looked in the back and figured there was room to sleep back there. Then he pointed to a beat-up van and said he was living in it. Uh, no, I don't think so!!
Well, what would you do if you ran into a guy who pointed to a slightly less beat-up Prius and said he was living in the back of that? [As I've been spending part of my summer...] . _H*
I'd think you were an environmentally conscientious camper. This other guy was a little scary. FWIW - I've had a number of people stop to ask about the solar panel sunroof because they are seeing the ads on TV. Everyone likes the idea - I'm hoping Toyota will crank more of them out!
I've heard about the Prius being a chick magnet. I totally understand it. The Prius IS a small, cute car. I can definitely see the female appeal. I have to agree with MaggieMay. I see it as a "geek magnet" also. That's the main reason I'm attracted to it. It's a little spaceship and a good conversation piece. I guess talking about a solar panel moonroof, bluetooth communication and 50 mpgs is a good ice breaker to eventually get a phone number and Facebook friend request. I'm all for it. I hope to have the same luck when my Prius arrives at the dealership.
I have a 2007 in Magnetic Gray and I once had a totally hot 21 year old college babe ask if she could sit in it and look at it. She then asked if I wouldn't mind following her home just down the street because she wanted to show her mom. I have actually had almost the exact same thing happen to me while driving my wife's Lime Green Volkswagen Beetle, except in that case it was likely a 17 year old airhead in her mom and dad's luxury car.
