With the back seat(right side) folded down and the passenger seat tilted back, my 9'6" surfboard fits with room to spare! Maybe enough room for a 10' board?
DUDE! Another longboarder! Those short board riders probably stick their boards in the glove box, but knowing a REAL surfboard fits is COOL! Have a great ride on me - not much surf here in Denver... :rockon:
Sounds like you've got a thumper of a Prius. Very nice. I'd be happy to catch a few for a fellow longboarder with a Prius!

Thank you very much, WaterbedWarrior. I couldn't figure out how to do what you did, so I just posted them under the photo tab. Yes, I forgot to mention this but I did take the headrest off. It would be wise to pad the front end of the board so not to damage the windshield and/or scratch the dashboard. Thanks again.
I'd be more worried about the nose of the board. Does the skeg ride too close to the hatch liner? Not sure how durable modern skegs are (I haven't surfed since the '60's ) but that might be an issue.
The skeg could rest very close to the hatch liner but you can always shift the board forward a little(an inch) and pad the liner or skeg or plalce a spacer of some sort between the tail of the board and the hatch liner so the skeg hitting the liner is non-issue. I also have the option of removing the skeg altogether if I wanted to. One would have to brake really hard for the board or the windshield to get damaged, I figure since the board is pretty heavy, but it would probably be cheaper to repair the nose of the board than to replace the windshield In either case, ample padding without obstructing driver's view would be wise.
Post surfing pics! I understand the surf was good about 3 weekends ago - someone here at work was at the US Open (watching, not competing). Santa Monica, if I remember correctly?
