Hmm... I thought that tires are still rated for mileage. I bought Michelin X-Radial tires for my old Prius less than a year ago and they had a mileage/month warrantee on them. I guess it doesn't mean anything?
Need confirmation on the documentation package!... Thanks for posting the list... When I got my car on sunday the dealer noted there was a key fob missing. When I looked in the glove box for a manual all I found was... - Navigation System Manual - "prius Information Guide" (a three fold laminated "quick start guide". - The "tire hold down strap". Fortunately, all the removable "hardware" options seem to be present... - The car had the rear curtain intact. - The sticker noted "carpets and cargo liner as options" and these were in the car. I suspect there was at least one manual missing, because I believe the mfr needs to tell you how to change the tire, oil, fluids, maintence schedule, etc. So.. I'll be going back to the dealer asap (tomorrow morning likely) to raise cane on the missing docs (and the missing keyfob).. but I would like to have a compete list. Can someone please take a look what's in your glovebox and post the know doc list? Thanks much. Fyi.. I have a 2010 Prius IV w/ the following options (from the sticker)... - 50 state emissions - $1800 navigation package - carpet floor mats and cargo mat (I cant believe I let them make me pay for that). - Rear bumper applique. I've bought cars from this dealer before, and the experience is average.. I settled on them for two reasons: 1) they had a decent-optioned prius (pretty slim pickings in SF Bay Area), and 2) they are very close/convenient to where we live. thanks jeff
Re: Need confirmation on the documentation package!... I went back and checked, and my list was complete.
Re: Need confirmation on the documentation package!... thx for the followup. I stopped by the dealer late yesterday on the way home. No doc package... (i think the sales got forgot about it; I left your list with him.) It appears the problem was that the car came from another dealer, and the doc package is at the other dealer... it was quite busy there over the days when I bought my car so I can see the confusion... and give them a break. Also the dealer (in palo alto) was out of 2010 prius and hybrid camrys .. even the 2009s sold out (they had a few cars that were loaded up with dealer$$ add-on$$ like aftermarket sunroof, backup proximity sensors, wheels, etc.) The C4C lot (which is normally their "new car inventory" lot) is a third full of C4C vehicles. jeff
Off the top of my head, the major items were: --2 key fobs & metal tag with key code --owners manual --warranty & maintenance manual --nav system guide --owners quick guide --nav system quick guide --basic operation guide --quick reference DVD --"valet instructions" card --rear view monitor description card --tire warranty doc[/QUOTE] I got all the above and a Toyota booklet "Owner's Warranty Rights Notification" about Lemon Laws for different states. Came in a nice black leather-like pouch to hold all the manuals and business cards.
