I just picked a prius last sunday, and love the car. It has the Package 6, and noticed today when driving on the freeway, I tried using the phone book on the MFD and noticed that all the phone numbers were dim,and non operative. The other screens seemed ok. Though I noticed when I pushed the button on the steering wheel to get the phone book up, It would go to the one-screen only. Never done that before. My bluetooth would not conect also. When I got home. I turned everything off and shut the car off. Turned everything back on. and all is Well Sounds like a software glitch. Any others out there had this problem ? Thanks Ron
[font=Comic Sans MS:2783ce586e]This isn't a bug, it's a feature! Several functions "gray out" when the car is in motion. You can't use the phone book and you can't set a destination, among other things, though you can call from the one-touch buttons. Get the phone book up when you are stopped, then start moving and watch the screen change. Stop and function is restored. You're not meant to mess with the MFD while driving. That's why Coastal Tech offers the Agree/Dest mod, and is theoretically working on a phone mod too..[/font:2783ce586e]
Oh ok, that explains it. wow, thanks for the info, and well makes sense too. That explains why the one touch buttons worked fine. Thanks alot
