The #3 is Vitz, which is the Yaris outside Japan. Wish is a totally different car, and is written ウィッシュ. It is selling much lower. Prius is being made at max production speed, with a waiting list lasting 9 months at this point... I think it will probably remain on top for a very long time, with about the same number sold/registered each month until at least April...
The incentive ends in April. Anyone currently ordering a Prius will receive it after the incentive ends (and therefore will no longer be eligible for the incentive) if production isn`t boosted quite a bit. I posted about it back a bit ago, when the wait went over the incentive... http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii-2010-prius-main-forum/65945-wait-list-prius-exceeds-government-rebate-plan-in-japan.html
It`s also a bit different than C4C in that it doesn`t require you to turn in a car in order to get it. You just get more if you do. With the turning in of an old car and the tax incentives it is about the same in price, I think, as C4C. However, even without an old car you get something - like $1000 less than C4C.
Anyone know which car holding the record for longest best selling car (monthly) in Japan? How many months?
