Does anyone know when the next shipment is set to hit New Jersey? I ordered my Prius in June and the dealer said a few weeks but it is now just about August. The sales lady said she is checking daily for me but I'm anxious Does anyone know?
The "continental highway" arrived at Newark port yesterday night. If someone in the tristate area receives news of their car arriving at the dealer please report back. I put a deposit down 3 weeks ago waiting for this ship and hope it gets to NY in time for me to scrape up whats left of the C4C deal:frown:
Our Prius is also on the Contential Highway so I truly hope your information in the ships arrival is accurate. I wonder how may other on the forum are awaiting this ship. Stan
When were you guys told what ship your car is on? I was told all the allocations for this shipment were taking but it was possible for the next one which will be mid-August.
3500 prius shipped a week to 5 US ports =700 prius/port. Each ship hits 2 ports so say 1400 per ship. Each ship holds 3 to 4 times that many cars. But the other models are not selling very well. Do you sail a mostly empty ship just to supply the Prius? They did for the preorders/rollout but can they continue to do it? (yes I omited Canada and Central America Ports but thats not many cars.)
There is a car carrier in Jax today. The boat is from NYK lines but I could not see the name. Should be out today and in Newark within 3 days.
I'm bummed, my dealer has no idea what ship it comes on, nor has ever had a request like that before :-( supposed to be in CT within a week...
Nope, I was told "maybe" the second shipment of the month. Which is why I am a little antsy. If it is not on there, good chance i will get socked with the extra option charges.
