Currently in south florida. With the extreme heat, dental floss took the badges right off and a little Tar and Bug spray removed the left overs without damaging the paint.
I didn't come here expecting to see a nekid Prius. ... But I didn't look away. wow - the badges really do make a big difference in appearance. I like it.
I just got back from the dealership pricing out a 2010 package 4 with navi :/ they would only give me 16.5 for my current car (22.5k miles, package 5) the new out of pocket total would be like $12k I guess I will hold on to her for a bit. I did test drive a 2010, it seems ok- If you rest your hand on the shifter it kills your wrist. The pickup seemed a little improved. I didnt like the new display for power generation\real time mileage but then again this model did not have a navi and I am not sure if all that info is moved back onto the touch screen if the car has one.
I have the NAV in a IV, and the energy displays are all in that upper display, not on any screens on the NAV.
I guess it is nice because you dont hav to keep switching screens if you are actually using the navigation but now you have to look at driver center to see speed ect, then driver upper right to see battery info then driver lower right to see nav screen. I can see that getting annoying on the long drives especially if you are use to the way the system worked in the last 2 generations :/
It's okay by me. My Camry Hybrid and Highlander Hybrid and now the Prius are all different in how the info's displayed. So far I think I like the way the Prius does it the best. Seems to make it easier to know when you are really "eco-driving."
Those wheels were Ikon model 21 in 17".... BUT I'm now rollin on ultra lights Volk Racing CE28N in 16". They are almost the same as Volk Racing ECODrive made for Prius.. except mine are .5" wider. p.s. the Ikon will be for sale but since I'm in Canada I doubt very interesting for fellow in US because of shipping cost
I just debadged the "TOYOTA" on the rear of my car. It was about 77'F outside so I just took the badge right off, and it left no residue. I think Toyota is one of the few cars I see on the road that has both the logo and a "Toyota" on the trunk, which I find redundant and unelegant. Looks much better now :thumb:
