Just bought a used 2007 with 11,000 miles on it and did my first long commute. 147 miles with a 49.1 average. Much better than the 15 in my Ford F150. I love it. I am looking forward to learning more about the car through all the experts here.

Congrats! Pretty soon you might work out your techniques for bringing your mpg to something like this: (<< click & enlarge) My '08 has 12,000 -- so it's use has been similar to yours. Took me a year & 1/2 to figure it out, and the mpg drops in winter ... but what a thrill ! Happy trails !
Great job and congrats! Warning - it becomes a constant challenge to improve your already great mpg. There is a lot of information here from the experts with good tips. I got my 2010 on Monday and my mpg has been improving steadily as I get a better feel for the car and try out some of the tips. Enjoy!
