Have you seen any Gen III's on the road?

Just saw my first 2010 on the road yesterday. Black one, stopped at an intersection. I drove by and waved, but I dont think he saw me.

 

Saw a silver 2010 in Brockton, MA. last weekend. But now you can see me & my new 2010 Red Prius driving around Brockton, MA as well.

 

I think I am now up to 6 that I've seen.

The latest was the first Blue Ribbon Metallic I've seen (other than my own!). It was parked on Route 38, downtown Geneva. I probably would have parked right next to it if there had been a spot (and I had any reason to stop and park!).

Earlier in the week I saw a Winter Gray Metallic, but I can't remember if it was in NW Indiana or the southern suburbs (of Chicago).

I've seen one each of Barcelona Red Metallic, Blizzard Pearl, Classic Silver Metallic, Sandy Beach Metallic, Winter Gray Metallic and Blue Ribbon Metallic. If I see Black before repeating colors, I think I will give myself a prize.

 

I was shocked to see a Barcelona Red pull in a subdivision just down the road from my own subdivision this morning. For a small town of 5000...that's quite something!

 

After being out for over a month now, I now see about one per day. It used to be that I would only see one per week, but all of a sudden in the past week, I'm now seeing about one per day. I live in Southern California.

 

I just had my first sighting, of a classic silver that the nearby dealer is using to transport service customers. I was just dropped off at my home, I turned around and glimpsed it going down the street. I was so excited, since I see tons of Gen II cars, but this is my first III, except my own and the ones I've seen at a dealer, of course!

 

saw a barcelona red non nav today (no backup camera) in Leesburg

already had 3 liberal bumper stickers pasted on the back!!

also, it had some optical device on the rear glass below the spoiler, right in the middle.

By optical device i mean a lens about 6 inces square - anybody know what i'm talking about? is it a blind spot deal?

 

I have seen these 'prism' stickers on the rear of Motor Homes for years (before rear-view cameras were all the rage). I did not know they still made these. They allow you to bend the light a bit, and will eliminate blind spots.

They still make them smaller, to magnify text when reading, by placing it on a book, or newspaper.

 

I've been looking but haven't seen any yet. There's A LOT of Gen II's though.

haha, yeah, I haven't counted, but I probably see at least one of every color everyday.

 

Most of the ones that were at the dealership in El Cajon are gone but I don't see 2010's often on the road. Rolling up to Solvang this weekend for danish, wine and just to get some trip mileage. Hope to see more!

 

Last week I saw a black one in the CVS parking lot in Hopewell Jct. NY. This week I saw a red one in the same parking spot. Kinda weird. I'm getting my Blizzard Pearl delivered next week! I went to visit it today at the dealership. Beautiful.

 

Saw my second one on the road yesterday... while I was on my way to the dealership to get mine.

It was a blizzard pearl, on I-405 S nearing I-5, in the lane next to me in my trade-in, my little black Yaris. It was trafficky and the driver clearly knew how to drive efficiently.

I saw my third one this morning. A Blue Ribbon Metallic. In my driveway! :-D

 

At the Ontario Circus there was a silver package IV on display near the entrance to the arena. Then while trying to get out of the parking lot I spotted a Barcelona Red 2010, still with the distinctive "Manhattan Beach Toyota" temporary plate. Bet you sold them that car, Dianne! And Barcelona, your car is a beautiful color; I'm not ordinarily a fan of red cars but the Barcelona Red is sharp.

 

Well, a month and a day after picking up my beautiful Sandy Beach Metallic IV with SR, I FINALLY saw my second 2010 Prius with the Sandy Beach color this morning! I was walking along Curtner Ave in San Jose and gave them a 'thumbs up' as they drove by - though it just barely registered in time what I was seeing! It was also a IV with the Solar Roof. Looks sharp

 

I was picking up a friend for work in El Cajon this week and my mirror image turned to corner towards me. I am still getting chased down on the freeways here by older Prius owners so they can look at the lovely Misty!!

 

Had my red V for about a month, two weeks or so ago, and saw a white '10 coming up on my left. I looked over as he passed me slowly and he never looked at me. Next stop light we were side<>side and that sourpuss never looked over.... thought maybe it was a service loaner or he never noticed me...or he was having a bad day.

Then last week, pulled into a parking place and right ahead -now nose<>nose with me a beige '10 with the sunshield up.

That's it - 2 '10 Prii - 1900 miles over 7 weeks. Bummer.

 

Two weeks ago I saw 6. Last week I only saw one, and I saw that one twice.

My husband now points out Prius on the road, but I'm always responding, "yeah, but it's an older one." And now today he saw one and said "oh look there's a Prius (and then mocking my voice) but it's an older one." He's not at all excited about the car like I am.
