I see that I can buy the OEM remote starter module for about $350. Anyone have instruction to install it? This is on a package II. thanks
Sorry I do not have the information you need but you have read about it on here first right? I just want to make sure you are aware that even once it is remote started, when you open the drivers door to get in the car it shuts the engine down and you will have to restart the vehicle. Something I feel people should be made aware of, as it was an initial shock to me.
If it is a plug & play (unit cost around $375), I would do it just so I dont have to get into a hot or cold car. Plus my puppy would appreciate the function!
So this could work on a 2010 model II? And the new key fob with the "AC" button would replace the old one? Any idea what dealerships charge for that InfoLink adjustment?
Same fob - you just put a sticker on it to note auto-start. No idea on the cost - but likely the same as most are charging to change seatbelt and reverse beep settings ($40-$80).
Are the seatbelt and reverse warning beeps also things that MUST be done by the dealer? My Toyota Scion that I just sold was very simply to disable the seatbelt warning beeps. It just involved holding the odometer button and turning the car on/off in a certain sequence...
