You can get the full cost of the extended warranty refunded to you if you sell the car. Just go back to the dealer and tell them you have sold the car prior to the warranty taking effect. They are required to refund the full cost.

I got my Prius to save on gas costs, and in my first three tanks, I have saved over $93 v. my Honda Odyssey. For speed and thrills, I have a Kawasaki ZZR-1200 that more than handles that need, (it gets worse mileage than the Prius). I do miss the space the Honda had, but not enough to allow me to overlook the crappy mileage.

We too have to be aware of the business climate, to stay ahead of the curve. You'd think that GM (back a few years ago ... before it became the crippled mess that it has become) would have access to alalytical/economic forcasts too ... yet the land barges just continued too roll off the assembly line ... as did the "glamor of hummer " commercials with Regis Philbin:

Yet society for the large part would rather wait 'till the last moment to adapt to ever shrinking cheep fossil fuel supplies ... so much so, that if folks can afford it, they'll go from a thrifty car, to (your choce of lower mpg car here _______) ... back & forth even as full supplies/prices fluxuate. And so the ad man continues to push sportyness & sexyness (ego) and the ability to dive into sharp hair pin curves, at break-neck speeds, above the lame idea of saving the dwindling cheep fuel supplies for kids/grand kids ... you know ... in case we don't have a better way set up, some time within a couple decades.

After having a couple of BMWs (3 and 5 series), I find myself enchanted with the Prius III. True it will never corner or accelerate as a BMW, but the displays, ablility to carry long items, and a wonderful cabin is plenty for me. Plus everyone wants to see my car- noboby cared that much over the BMWs.

Help - I'm suffering from withdrawal: and petrol counselors in the crowd? I haven't been to a gas station since July 3rd, and lovin' it. There are definite reasons to keep your Prius. Gas prices are going down today; just as surely, they'll be heading back up before we know it. --TK

Comparing an Odyssey with the Prius is irrelevant, allow me to say. I own both and they cannot be used interchangeably for my needs. I use the Odyssey when everyone in my family cannot comfortably fit in my Prius. The Prius is reserved for most and long drives or whenever we are riding with a comfortable number of people. Yet, I always go in defense of my 07 Odyssey because it is a great car and very economic for its size: 22-24 MPG (mostly city driving) for a 240 hp and heavy car is outstanding in my opinion. Now if you can replace the need of an minivan for a Prius, that tells me you have made less than perfect decisions on selecting the appropriate car in the past, sorry!

How do you know that they didn't need the space of the Odyssey when they bought it and their needs have changed since then? Don't be so presumptuous...
