I don't think this is legal
EDIT: I just checked the Prius website & can confirm you do not get a spare tyre of any sort.
I am certain this makes the vehicle unroadworthy in Victoria, unless there were recent law changes??

FURTHER EDIT: Victorian law states that it is not mandatory for cars to have a spare tyre

Couldn't agree with you more. Perhaps they're telling us that we'll have to pay for the profits they should have made but couldn't because they've lowered the prices in the US and Japan.

I believe to some extent in the economics of a free market.
Therefore, don't pay full retail & screw the dealers to get $5K to $8K off.
Also, over time, if the pricing is too high the market will tell them & they will have to drop the prices

Did you get your Prius? Are you satisfied with its performance?

me? not yet but I'm ok with the 2005's performance and on the various test drives that I've done on the 2010, it seems fairly impressive.

I wrote to Todd Connolly from Toyota Marketing for an explanation. I suspect it will be perfectly fine on 91 RON and it's a typo.

Think again, lift the Fuel Flap and it's there in black and white.
Also to note, the UK pricing is tipped not to change from present prices.

95 eh? Yeah that's odd. Ours had a typo too (it said 88 instead of 87). Our 87 (regular unleaded) would be your 91 RON I believe.

Yep, I think you are right. There are 2 different rating systems that give different numbers. RON is Research Octane Number.
