Technically challenged / can't upload photos here so you will have
CLICK on the link below - now working. See what damage a matress box (no springs!) can do at freeway speeds; also view spectacular pics at Hoover Dam and the new sky highway being constructed!!!

I don't see any damage pics in any of your PUBLIC albums. It might be set to private.

I can't see your Dam photos either! :p
I hit a filled garbage bag on the highway once, pretty scary, a mattress would be much worse. So far my 2010 is still mint though, knock on wood!

Thanks for the pictures! I especially enjoyed seeing the progession at the Hoover Dam, as we were there a few years ago.

I was actually pleasantly surprised by your damage! Not as bad as I pictured, and for sure not as bad as it could have been.

Glad you made it back up North, and hope the repair goes perfect!

    :D

While disheartening, the damage was much less than I expected. Thanks for the pics!

Yikes, time for a new bumper, I hope they colour match it right! Maybe while it's all mangled you can see how those fog light covers are mounted inside the bumper?
You take nice pictures, especially the Before Mattress shots. :)

Not that I'd wish it upon anyone, but I thought there would be much much more damage than that. I think you got out very lucky.

Did you actually drive OVER the box spring (or mattress) and not lose control?

    Poor Prius. :(

So glad it was not worse.

I love the scenic pics. I cannot wait to get mine so I can take some scenic pics to share. :)

And I thought my wife got mad at me when I left skid marks on the sheets.

Yep! Just lucky that only the front right corner/tire hit the cloth covered frame/wooden box that supports the mattress. As others have stated, we could have taken the impact at windshield level or ? and pontentially had a much more serious accident. [IMG]

Congratulations on the "lucky" impact/low damage.

Your "Earth Woman" sculpture is quite pornographic. Great Work... O'keefe would be proud!
