I am in the Tampa Bay area and want to purchase a 2010 Prius IV with Moonroof. Does anyone know how soon these will become available here in Florida? Thanks.
I was speaking with Josh Stewart at Earl Stewart in Noth Palm Beach last Friday and he was telling me that Toyota had seriously understimated the demand for the Solar Packages and the AT Packages (assuming few buyers would be interested in these hard economic times). I was looking for a 2010 Prius III with the solar package and he said to expect at least a 2 month wait because all coming in the next month or so had already been promised. You might want to give him a call and see what he says about what you are looking for.
They must have figured more Californians would buy them. There were 2 whites, 1 red and my silver on the lot at El Cajon last week. I think they added a black one since I bought mine.
I believe they have figured that out by now, because my sunroof cars on allocation are a lot less than what we expected. Oh well, it's only fair they distribute them a tad better 'cross country but the lines for them are SO darn long at a lot of places, there's still quite a wait in the south/southwest/central areas for sunroof cars.
Sometimes, it's just dumb luck - being in the right place at the right time. The second dealer I visited had a Blue IV with solar roof and Nav-package in their allocation. I thought about it for two days before deciding to place a deposit because I wanted Blue, I wanted a IV, and I wanted the Solar Roof; I wasn't sure about the Nav package. I was lucky because the dealer had it in their allocation and it was still available when I decided to place the deposit. So, my point? Keep checking and maybe you talk to the right dealer at the right time. --TK
Yep, the dealers in NC and FL are saying 2-3 month wait on any model with sun roof. Which is why I sent you the email asking about the red IV you had with the sun roof. Your response was super fast and no BS. Thanks again.
