Not to mention she is great to deal with: no BS, very efficient and knowledgeable on selling/shipping car out of state.
How far does it make sense to ship a car? I don't suppose the "helluvadeal" is enough to cover the shipping to Wisconsin...
I got quotes ranging from $580-$700 open trailer to Austin, TX from CA. Just go on google and type vehicle shipping and you will see tons of sites for free quotes. Some are instant and most will get back to you. Beware though, I got tons of emails and phone calls after my inquiry. Dianne is great to work with. Just give her a call to see what kind a deal she can give you. Good luck!
It depends on many things. A long wait, sales personnel insisting you take a different car/color/package, or lack of info on "when" for your chosen car/package seems to be the #1 reason I ship cars. It's expensive to ship cars, and although I have been helping with the shipping costs, it's still pricy. It also can be the sheer lack of what YOU want where you live. Or, in your region. Not all regions order cars the same in their Japan builds... so if you want a car with certain packages that don't get ordered anywhere near you OR they don't get ordered in a large enough volume to meet demand, folks will look out of region, and at times, cross country. Some dealers mark cars up hundreds or thousands. Some add a bunch of extras to their cars that are forced on at retail. I guess it can't be about the money 100% completely... which makes sense. It's usually more about having the RIGHT car at a fair price. Example: a man in Texas wants a III with EJ - in a certain color, a few small additions. His dealer keeps trying to jam him in an IV -- or a III with NAV and, it's not what he wants. It'[s cheaper for him to come to me for the III with NO NAV and not have the gulf states junk to deal with. Even after paying part of the shipping, he's still way ahead. Every single deal and experience is different.
