    Glad to hear that you're feeling and doing better!

    I got to spend sometime at the family place on Caples Lake the weekend before the Fourth. It really is a special area. I was with my getting-elderly parents, so stuck mostly to the road, but am itching to get back and do some actual hiking. That was really the first time I've been there in like 20 years; I was struck by how much had changed, but at the same time was still so familiar that I felt like I'd hardly been away.

    I'm bugging Hyo to get down here so we can go! I wanna hit the Farallons for sure! I hear there is great swimming between the shore and islands so I am bringing a black wetsuit and flippers for Hyo to wear. :p
