Got my 2010 Prius Package II!!

    Hey guys,

    I bought my Classic Silver Metallic Package II almost 2 weeks ago so this is my first post. So far, it's been nothing but pure pleasure driving it. I'm averaging about 55mpg drving in 'normal' mode without using any hypermiling techniques and I LOVE IT!!:D Since purchasing it, I have not filled up the tank yet so I have one question that I hope someone can answer for me.

    When I do refuel, will the tank trip meter automatically reset back to 0 or will I have to do it manually myself? I believe the tank trip meter is 'Trip B', right??

    Hey Rich,

    Congrats on your purchase, I have a IV w/Solar and absolutely love it as well. As for your question, I think you need to reset the trip meter yourself by holding down the trip button on either trip A or B. I reset my trip A every time I refuel and it logs the MPG and total trip distance into chart each time you reset it. I have been leaving trip B alone w/o resetting it so I can see my estimated MPG so far over the whole time that I've been driving my car (right now I'm averaging 52.9 MPG over about 1500 miles).     Cograts Metroplex!!! Continue to enjoy and save:)gas, I have a II on order. Do you like the sound system in your car? Did you compare the JBL system with it? I am on the fence with the idea of getting a III just for enhanced sound. Any other II owners please chime in.

    First, congratulations to Metroplex on your Silver Prius II--I own the same car and LOVE it!!

    Regarding the sound system, my only complaint is that the actual radio (I am an NPR junkie) exhibits more frequent static and I live in a huge metroplex area (Dallas/Ft. Worth) where there shouldn't be a problem. It is a drastically different sound when playing my iPod. My husband altered the bass/treble/middle settings and it seems to have made a big difference. I have a JBL system in our other car and whereas it does do a better job (esp. with the radio), the basic system in the Prius is sufficient. I am a musician (classically trained, however) and sound is important to me, although not the big bass sound that others appreciate. There has been another thread about how Toyota's basic audio system is not the greatest. But the rest of the car easily makes up for it!!

    Congratulations Metroplex!

    Clairdiva, I have the same issue with my radio in my PriusII. It almost seems as if the antenna is not hooked up. Reception is spotty at best. I have another thread on this issue in the Troubleshooting forum.
