It's Blue, no extra's. Didn't want to pony up for the sun roof and we don't need NAV. We will get the platinum extended warranty 7/100 from Toyota for $1100 from the dealer. They said 4-6 weeks It's replacing her old 2002 Honda odyssey that dumped a transmission at 77K miles a few weeks ago (covered under warranty) and it hasn't been the same since we got it back. The savings on gas and the mileage check she gets every month from work will pay for most of the payments  So she's looking forward to a new ride!
Whats with this ordering crap. I thought Toyota didnt take orders on Prii. And whatever you get, why not buy the warranty right here on PC and contribute to the sites welfare?
It's not ordered, it's "preferenced". Sorry for the wrong terminology. my last 3 cars were ordered so the term just fell into place for me. As for the warranty, I hadn't looked much. Dealer 1 told me $1600 and dealer 2 told me $1100 so I said yes. I didn't know I could get a warranty "through" the board. Sneezy
You fool! It's bad enough you have to go and order your wife a new car and make the rest of us guys look bad, but you also have to BRAG about it on the board! Good thing my wife doesn't read this! Hey, wait, this might not be a bad idea. I don't want to trade off my '06, but having a new one around to play with might be kinda fun. I could trade off her Impala and keep my modified Prius. Hmmm.....
I don't know, it sounds like a fair exchange. I don't know what the dealership is going to do with the wife though
Congrats on the (future) purchase. I absolutely love my new IV. I finally got some highway miles this weekend (about a 300 mi round trip). I love my Prius in the city, but it's a quiet and safe-feeling car on the highway, too. I hope the wait is not too hard or long for you both.
I tired to trade the kids but they wouldn't take them. Boy is she gonna be pissed when I break her the news though . If she won't go then I'm stuck paying the remaining 21K for it. I tried to trade her for a an early 70's mustang convertible but the honda threw a transmission......and I didn't need the liability of the honda
The "used" market is pretty good right now. Most people seem quite happy with a used model. Best bet though would be for short term rentals. Although that's illegal in the US. You may get by with it in the UK?
