It's not unknown for cars to show up a few days late, especially if there is a holiday involved (Christmas, July 4th, etc)
Indy, so far nothing has changed on your car if it is the same one you asked me about the other day. The holiday weekend is coming into effect. I normally receive cars 2-3 days before the last date of arrival. I have 2 I am waiting on that are supposed to be here on the 3rd.. still no sign of them. Off topic here.. My initials are J A B. My friends have been calling me Jabber for YEARS.. about 30 to be precise. It has nothing to do with being a boxer or getting into bar fights like someone asked
Not punchin' anyone till the NEXT guy asks "where's my car?!!?!??!?!?" when it's the 10th person that day........................
Jabber, it is the same car. I was afraid to ask if anything has changed since the last time. I guess the holiday is really the problem. It should be here next week. Thanks for checking it out!
I leaned on the guy so hard for my car. When it came in I went and bought him a 50.00 gift certificate for the restaurant by the dealership. I guess I felt bad for yelling at him over the phone when he told me they had wrecked my first one.
How about the salespeople that ask whoever does the dealer trades if they got his/her car yet... 3 hours after dropping it on the desk? I made that mistake once early in my career. The stapler missed me by 5 inches.
Congrats, Indy! I'm sure you'll let us know what you think about it. I'm just about to hit the road. I'm headed to MI, so I'll wave as I pass through Porter and Lake Counties, IN.
I'll post my first impressions in the impressions thread after 3-5 days of use. I got 53.2 mpg in my first drive from the dealer to home under light rain and 68 degrees outside. Very impressive!
Re: Indy's car The moonroof sold me the first time I saw the vehicle online, I would have spent the extra cash for the Prius V with ADV TECH if you could add a moonroof, I ordered the Prius IV instead
Congrats! You got it on July 4th! I am surprise the dealer was open. I too want to know what MPG you get in your normal commute. Enjoy!
My sales guy was very nice... the dealership was open on 4th of July but he was off. He still came in just to take care of my car and deliver it. I was very pleased. He kept saying it was not a big deal for him... but for me it was, because I would hate to have to work during my time off with my family, especially in a holiday. Anyway, big deal or not he just earned a loyal customer with his attitude plus great recommendations of course...
Hello folks! I just posted my impressions in the driving impressions thread, not in the DISCUSSION impressions thread. Take a look if you can. Thanks! Indy.
I counted 18 new 2010 Priuses at one dealership in Atlanta. If push comes to shove, get your deposit back and get a one way ticket to a dealership with a good inventory and is willing to make a deal. Sorry about your misfortune.
