the wheels on our 2002 prius are all chewed up by pennsylvania salted roads. can anyone recommend some nice looking wheels to replace them. the little dealer we bought the car from had just bought some scion 14 inch rims for $60 apiece from the toyota dealer. seemed like a great deal, since he said stock replacements would be $250 apiece. has anyone found a deal like that we know would fit? these eaten up rims just wont do.
I heard the toyota echo uses the same size rim. Also there is a salvage seller on ebay that sells prius parts. Very reasonable.
we were kind of hoping to fit some 14" scion rims on there. something not too flashy that we can get a good deal on. what do i need to make sure of. is there some specific bolt pattern i need to match. obviously four lug. what else do i need?
Not sure about the Scion wheels. Just glancing at Tirerack, it looks like $68 for alloys and $40 for steels... Levi
The size for the factory rim is 14 x 5.5JJ with 4 x 100mm bolt pattern. I think any rims that meet those requirement will be fine. About the echo rims, I think it will be fine since I have steels rims from echo as my winter rims for 8 years and I have no problem with that.
The rims should also have 15 mm offset but I can't remember in which direction! You could no doubt get the OE rims from salvage, if interested.
