Well let us know as soon as you get your car. I am waiting on mine to be delivered to Bloomington, IN, and I am thinking it is one week behind yours. Did you get a car carrier loading number from your dealership?
Picked up my car yesterday. Eight days from dock (Overseas Joyce, Newark) to delivery to NoVA. Included port install of remote starter.
Well, I didn't wait. Another dealer (DarCars in Silver Spring, salesman was Ray Alvarez) got me my first choice color at the last momenet yesterday, so now the one I was getting at port can go to someone else! But, I am quite happy w/ my model 4 w/ sunroof in ribbon blue exterior, bisque leather interior. Just love it.
Congrats, I had spoken to Ray, but he couldn't locate a V and by chance stopped byOurisman Fairfax with perfect timing.
Mine came in on Overseas Joyce around the 21st and arrived at the dealer in Connecticut on June 30th. I'll be picking up my Winter Gray IV at 5 PM tonight. Bye bye Lexus 22 miles per gallon, hello Prius.
Congrats, mine was bye bye Jaguar 18 mpg. First full day of ECO mode ran a respectable 55 mpg in Washington DC traffic.
mine was bye bye 2002 gen 1 and 50 mpgs - hoping to get 55 in my blizzy 2010 IV solar nav bisque.only have 130 miles so far.
I wouldn't bug your salesperson daily. It won't change a thing as far as the car's arrival. I often tell my clients that I will do my job 100% - I will obtain the car, trade for it, or get it allocated. Once it's THERE, in my dealership's stock online, in transit, whatever... it's out of my control completely. I sure enjoy talking to my buyers but a call every day would possibly keep me from selling other cars while everyone's Prius is coming in.. and that's a bad thing. Once the car drops, I start to do what's in my control again and make sure the car's gassed, prepped, ready, all NAV and controls are set up correctly, ready for phone pairing and such, back screens set, and car's immaculate... and then my clients appear and take 'er home. If you trust your sales person, you just gotta chill with 'em. No one makes money by the hour in this biz. We make it by the deal...
I talked with my salesperson yesterday evening (weekly bugging, but not daily ) and he stated that the updated date is 6-Jul-09, same as the individual from Iowa City. The original date was 8-Jul-09 so the transit time from Portland to Iowa really is 2.5 to 3 weeks. Oh well, there goes my hope for an early 4th of July arrival this weekend. Next week it is. I guess I'll be taking off a day from work to drive down from the Twin Cities to Ames.
We got the call that our car arrived at the dealer (in the Midwest) today (July 11), which is 20 days after it landed in port and 1 business day sooner than the dealer estimated it would be here. Can't wait to pick up the car on Monday!
I RECVD A CARRIER # AND SHIP NAME(INDIANA) IT ARRIVED ON 6/29 AND MY CAR IS SLATED TO BE DELIVERED ON 7/17(ONE MORE FREAKIN WEEK!!)ORIGINALLY BEFORE THE SHIP HIT PORT I WAS TOLD THE 16-19TH OF JULY. WHEN IT HIT PORT THEY SAID 7/20,THEN YESTERDAY I WAS IN SERVICE WITH ANOTHER TOYOTA WE OWN AND MY SALES PERSON RAN OUT TO TELL ME THE 17TH,THIS FRIDAY!, SO IF ITS DELIVERED THEN 2- 3 WEEKS SOUND RIGHT. (BY THE WAY, I ORDERED IT EARLY IN APRIL,THERE ARE VERY FEW SOLAR IVs HERE IN INDIANA YET.
I understand the frustrations of waiting. Why don't our dealers understand??? I stopped by my dealership yesterday and they said they were given a "load number". Yeah! So I said ok maybe as soon as monday then. (Thinking, I'm ok with this. Monday, not bad) The dealer says, "Oh no, it could come in tonight and we might have it when we open in the morning." No! Why get my hopes up??? Of course they didn't have it. Why u gotta toy with my emotions like that?
Mine was off the ship on a Tues or Wed, and, while the dealer expected the following Tues-Wed, I actually had it 3-4 days later (Sat). However - this was a unique Prius Priority exception - I was told that "they" hot-trucked it to ensure mine was first in the SW Region (they being an unknown person probably at the regional level). Typical lead time varies by location, but from Long Beach to AZ, I've been told 7-10 days.
Mine was off the ship on 24 June. The dealer was all of 10 miles away. The truck delivered it to the dealer on 6 July! Twelve long days . But, you know, the memory fades fast once one is driving their new baby.
If it was June 29 you'll have an answer already. I was told my Gen III was arriving Jacksonville on July 9. Called dealer on the 9th and salesman had day off. Called on the 10th a little before noon and salesman told me he could see it coming into the yard on the transporter as he talked. After leather install, it will be ready late Tuesday, 14th.
