Mitsubishi set up a survey. If you want to express your opinion on alternatives such as the Imiev, here's where: Alternative Fuel Feedback Survey - Zoomerang Online Surveys
Thanks for posting this. I took the survey. They start by addressing me as a Mitsubishi owner, but when I answered that I don't own a Mitsubishi, I was able to continue with the survey. It's well constructed. There were no unanswerable questions other than "What year is your Mitsubishi," but when I left that unanswered I was able to continue with the survey. (Some surveys ask unanswerable questions, and then won't let you continue until you answer. This one does not do that.)
I took the survey, too and it's well done one. But, what do you think of iMieV? I'm seriously thinking of buying a hybrid car and would like to collect opinions on iCar. I found a good read about it Road Tests: Mitsubishi iMiEV Test Drive but would appreciate more personal opinions. Share, please.
I've never seen one except the pictures. I think it would be a very nice little car, though I'd like more range. I won't be buying one as long as my electric Porsche continues to drive. And of course, the article says it will go on sale in Japan "later" and "might" be available in Ireland in a year. So, the U.S. when? Don't hold your breath!
I've seen one in real life at the company's annual Mitsubishi Owners Day event. It's larger than it looks in pictures. It's been a few months, but I'd say its closer to Mazda5 size than Honda Fit size. It's very cute, but the driver is so close to the front bumper I'd assume they would have a hard time meeting US crash standards.
IMHO if you are looking at a smart car, take a look at the ImieV. In my head there is no reason a micro car should get such average fuel economy and cost so much (in comparison to other compacts such as the Nissan Versa)! I think Mitsubishi is going to the a major player in the ev market that no one sees coming. Everyone that has test drove one (all the blogs I've read) likes it a lot. the smart is more of a 50/50 split. anyway just make sure you get the car that best fits you. If you want a nice commute car then the IMIEV might fit the bill. if you want a people and cargo hauler you will need to look elsewhere.
Here we go, I took this at Motown MOD (Mitsubishi Owner's Day): My mistake, the front isn't as close as I remembered.
Man, that was a terrible article! I can't stand how people think "green" = lowering CO2 outputs and that is it. Sometimes I think journalism students are 1 step above drywall hangers... Actually come to think of it, drywall hangers perform a useful service.
Welcome to PC, abe. If by "working hard" ... you mean journalism students can get better, that's true. However, that doesn't change the good/bad journalist's opinion. There are GREAT journalists with decades of experience on BOTH sides of the view, and too often they'll write from their 'slant' ... with a mind set of going down in flames before admitting the other side's view has value. Not all journalists are that way. Hopefully these students will learn to be more objective down the road, if they haven't already learned the topic. btw, where the heck is "1" ?? That's what you've posted for your location. .
Based on his sig, I think that was just spam. Unrelated to the thread. I've reported it. The mods can decide.
Anyone trying to sell MMORPG gold or powerlevels by putting links in their sig is automatically considered a troll and should be banned.
