Do you have any additional news? Mine's still in allocation and not hit F status yet. My sales manager is going to check further, but Sunday he checked the status and a VIN has been assigned but it showed ETA at the dealership of 7/13. That's about a week longer than it's been taking so I was wondering if others on the NC1 are getting the same dates or if the loading on the trucks is different? He's at the auction today so he's going to follow up tomorrow. I thought it was odd on earlier ships that WV was getting their cars earlier than NJ and PA, so my thoughts were that maybe they are changing and shipping out the closer cars first on this ship load? I'm not sure how the trucking works, if they use one company or regional ones. Perhaps the trucks delivering longer distances need to make round trips for the same route and it takes longer now that the first wave has cycled through. (???) Then again maybe it will show up a lot earlier than the date they currently list, as many have in the past. Either way, I'm willing to wait on my choice. Now if the wife had not wrecked the 09HH I wouldn't be needing this so quickly.
I'm not sure of whether I have an F status (and BTW - can't we change that designation - bad karma that) BUT my dealer called me to confirm my VIN number!:dance:
If he has a VIN I would think he has an ETA for the dealership. I'm curious when you find that out. If he calls you with the F status ask him what it says on the sheet (and not his guess as to when it will actually arrive). Let him know it's more than just you that appreciates his information
I spoke with her last Friday after the cars were unloaded. I suspect at that point the VIN list goes to the dealers (previously she gave me an engine no.) She did not know how long it would be in port and said that 'freight' had been varying from shipment to shipment - likely based on number of cars and points of distribution I assume. I'll let you all know when I learn more!
Update: Just got a call that it had moved to 'ground' status and they were expecting delvery to the dealer around the 4th. <looking for a fireworks smilie>
I'll assume that "ground" status is the same as freight? I originally thought that would be about right with the possibility that it might be Monday 6th before they actually arrived due to the holidays. Thanks!
That makes sense. Due to work obligations I can't make it to the dealer until the weekend of the 11th. She's locking my fob up in her desk to keep prying test drivers away.
Aw Maggie! I'm close by, I'd be happy to check it out for you, really, it wouldn't be a bother at all! Congrats! You've been waiting a long time. Remember, we'll be looking for pics when you get it!!
Seriously, a whole week? Bummer. I just talked to Kip. He checked and the status for mine has been moved to a delivery date of 7/6 (Monday). If it comes in on Saturday he'll let me go ahead and bring it home.
Yeah it's kind of a crazy story. I'll share the saga when I get the car. I would have loved to get it sooner but dems da breaks. After all this time, one week won't kill me. (I hope!) I have beautiful photo of a IV/SR in Classic Silver on my 'puter that I sigh over now and then - like a long-distance romance. :violin:
Mine is still in A status . It appears all the cars that were on the ship (I only looked up Prius) are still in A status. Even the one that has a D-ETA of 7/6. Maybe it will flip soon. Once it is being processed for shipping, awaiting a truck to get it, it switches to F status. It then goes to G which means it should be on the ground at the dealership very shortly. If yours is already G, then I wouldn't be surprised if it hits the lot within the next day or 2. Lucky dog!!!
Mine came off of the Overseas Joyce and is in F status. How did you "look up" the Prius? I would love to find out where the car is since the dealer said he wanted me to take delivery by month end. As of today, the car still isn't there.
I don't think the dealer can really track it after it hits the trucking. But the regions are not that big so I would expect a car in 4 to 6 days after hitting F status in the Central Atlantic Region
No, mine is still in A status but an update check today moved the ETA for the dealership from 7/13 to 7/6. I would expect F status somewhere in the bext 2 days if the 6th is correct. Then again they have been delivering them well in advance of posted dates so I still have my hopes for the end of the week.
Ummm, no. But I tell you it is torture as I keep checking Dealer Daily every 15 min to see if "Yoshi" (my car) is on his way to me. Have you named yours yet? If I recall, we already have some Prius on the ground from Overseas Joyce. If yours isn't G staus yet, then I doubt it will be here tomorrow. But hopefully by the end of the week.
