Hmmm... interesting. Haven't heard of the "Excellence". Perhaps it's sold under a different name in North America.

I didn't realise there was space for a fullsize spare. I know there wasn't in a Gen 2.

    Bridgestone Ecopia tires

On a sidenote, I was surprised that when we went to increase the psi 3 days after picking up the car that all 4 tires were inflated to less than 30 psi's. That seemed really low! We still managed to average 52 MPG over 375 miles in those 3 days; looking forward to seeing what we can do with the tires at 40/42.

In the updated list in the first posting my tires (claridiva, TX) are listed as Yokohama and they are indeed the Bridgestone Ecopias.

Correction - my dad's in CA, not AZ. Same port of entry though, and probably same ship.

The tires I got...Toyo 17s. And now after 750 miles...this surprise after pulling into the garage today.
Have no idea how or when. Hope it wasn't done by a disgruntled Insight fan with a screwgun...
Just happened to be in this position when I was about to check air pressure -no leak. Plan to bring it to tire dealer tomorrow. Don't even know who carries Toyo around here. Think it can be repaired, about 1" from the edge of tread/sidewall.

KJF mine came in on same truck. I have a picture of them both sitting there with shipping wrap on them. They look like twins except ours is a III and has nav.

Well I thought I really got screwed yesterday when I saw it in my right front tire. Planned to bring it into a local dealer here to remove the screw and hopefully repair. It was quite close to the edge of the tread. Worst fears - too close to the sidewall and need to replace, with 750 miles on the tire. And have no clue where Toyos are avail around here.

It rained much of the day and didn't want to mess up the car going to the shop. Went out to my garage a few times to check the pressure and it hadn't lost anything. Then I looked closer at the screw, became bold, and got a pair of pliers. Thought I'd try to operate, just in case it's a short screw. A few careful twists and out it came like a loose tooth. And 3/8" long. Not sure how deep the tread is, but certainly more than that.

    Phew.
