Looking at my Prius II today, I could see that I had a 9005 high beam, but couldn't tell the number for the low-beam. I don't remembe what the manual said, but it's a number I'm not familiar with. Anyone know? I'm trying to replace the low-beams with some sort of Silverstars. Thanks.
Don't count on the Silverstars lasting as long as your OEM halogens. There are several posts by unhappy Silverstar users.
Go with the PIAA Xtreme White--I've used them for many years with no issues--see my post on upgrading exterior lights.
Oh yeah, I've had Silverstars before. I'm happy if they last me a year. I've used EuroDezigns Ultra White which were alot better and have a lifetime warranty. I recently blew one and got a replacement in the mail. Are those PIAA that good? I'm going for the white look and not so much the blueish tint.
Isn't H11 one of the rarer bulb sizes? I think a lot of bulbs, such as the Sylvania Silverstar and Philips X-Treme Power bulbs, do not come in that size.
I've used them for 10+ years, 4.5 years in a car I just sold, and never had to replace one. I also don't like the blueish look, and don't find them to be that.
Agreed with Stream, the PIAA's do not have a bluish tint to them... The tip is blue but it does not add a blue color to the light.
it's likely because of the 4100K rating close to the 4300K of HIDs... still, $50 some for a pair? oooooouch!
yeah, HID is cheap now days. It might be the same price or cheaper than those Japan imported SUPER WHITE PIAA
