TracFone Bluetooth phone option

I am using a new Nokia tracfone with ATT service in my four-day old 2010 Prius. It is working, but so far I have not had the chance to get much experience with it.

I bought a tracfone w376g with bluetooth but was unable to register it with my 2009 Prius.

The phone also has a USB jack but the ability to use it with a computer has been disabled. Can't send pictures to your computer.

 

I have had my 2010 Prius for just two weeks and bought a new Nokia (using ATT service) because my previous cell phone did not have BT capability. It has worked fine except that it will not tranfer my directory (numbers). The techie at the Toyoto dealer tried and was also unable to transfer the directory from the new Nokia to the Prius Nav system.

 

I got it to work today. I read somewhere that you need to use security code 0000 instead of 1111 in the Prius. The 0000 is hard wired into the tracfone. Worked right away and sounds very good.

 

Tracfone uses AT&T as the carrier.

 

I read these threads last night and was so pleased to find that the 0000 worked flawlessly when I tried it today (years later). Thanks to all who defied those who said it couldnt' be done and for posting this valuable information.
