I just put my deposit down on a 2010 Prius II and should get it by July 1st! I just graduated college and start work in about an month, so me and a few friends were thinking about driving out to the grand canyon. My question for you guys is do you have to bring the car in for a checkup at like 1000 or anything like that and would you recommend NOT doing this because it would be putting about 5000+ miles on the brand new car.
Go for it and have a great time. Your first service is at 5,000 miles for an oil change so schedule it for when you get back. Follow the break in instructions for the 1st 500 miles and you'll be fine. Don't forget to post pictures of your trip! The Prius by the canyon would be a nice one!
