Went to dealer yesterday. My 08 I have has the 3 door smart key opener, camera and the home link mirror- no nav. New one you can not get that without leather type 4. This is a problem for us. The dealer was also adding on their mat/owner reward package for $600 and the vehicle shield for $349. They also had $200 for nitrogen air and $399 for window tint. Where does this stop? Do they want people to go to Honda? I guess we willwait till the hype goes down and then try to get a new one.
Sounds dumb to me. Call around to other dealers in your area, tell them you want x car with no add-ons, what out the door price will they quote you? Some think add-ons are the best thing since sliced bread. Otherwise are reasonable. You have to do a little research to separate the boys from the men in this department... that's not just Toyota dealerships though.
