This might be a silly question....but what did you name your prius?

My wife has decided that my car should be named "Sneeker" because it's so quite that it can sneak up on people.

I'm not completely sold on the name, but I do like that I could get the vanity plate of SNEEKR (Texas only allows 6 letters on vanity plates).

Any votes yay or nay on Sneeker? It's a blue III, in case it matters.

 

How about "prowl", "sidle", "creepr", "cloak"....too bad stealth is 7 letters....

 

my wife and i had a hard time coming up with a name since it was silver. we wanted it to be somewhat of healthy name but what the heck is silver that is healthy?

i randomly suggested "Onion" to which we both laughed since it was a pretty cute name and it stuck since then!

 

I haven't decided on a name yet.

one thought is: Silver, cause Prius will be Silver, and cause I think of Lone Ranger's horse: Silver. Trustworhty, reliable, intelligent and all that good stuff.

But no decision yet.

 

My previous car was silver and was named Silver. It worked out well because I went to SMU, where our mascot is the mustang. So I had a mustang decal on the back of the car.

And for the record, I realized last night that I misspelled "sneaker."

There seem to be a lot of silver Prii represented on this page already, as is ours ... so here goes ....

"Son of Gloin" -- that would be me -- decided to name our Silver Prius "Mithril" ... as my signature below indicates. Mithril is that silvery mineral / ore / metal (?) the dwarves from The Lord of the Rings novels / movies mined.

Also recently got a personalized plate to that effect which, sadly, most people "read" as "My Thrill" ....

 

I think I'll name mine Pearl.

She most definitely is a pearl of great price.

 

lol. I had read that you were going to call your car Silver as well, but I been so tired lately, that your name didn't register til now.

 

Mine will be named "The Vulcan".

 

Last car "The Green Machine"; this one "The Dream Machine". Appropriately named and loving my Prius.

 

Copycat! I named my 2002 Prius Sparky! Two great minds with the same great thought, I guess.

Still trying to come up with a name for my new 2010 Prius. I thinking "The Silver Bullet", or maybe just "Bullet" for short.

I say YAY for SNEEKR!

 

This is our first Prius and we consider it our baby. Our SUV is named The Boy so we're thinking of calling the Prius The Baby. I know, hokey, but it may stick.

 

OK, just ordered IV-SR... Not sure what color we are getting, so that is of no help. After some deliberation we are going with Yoshi from the Mario game series. It is also a Japanese name meaning "Nice" from what I've read, so it works.

I believe it is a male name, and as all cars SHOULD be female, ours has identity issues.

 

Ships, e.g. USS Abraham Lincoln, are still referred to as female even when they have male names.
